Description
This is another amazing flower I discovered on my recent trip to Hawaii. I am not sure what it is but I was very fascinated by it. I used a combination of Winsor & Newton watercolor paint, Rublev 18th century reproduction watercolor paint, and Daniel Smith watercolor paint on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper. The textures of the paper really interacted nicely with the paints.

Beautiful work, Ken!! Congratulations on your sale!!!
Ken Powers replied:
Thank you Lynn! This one had a bit of a different vibe than most of my floral work but it was fun to try to work all the foliage into the piece.

Ken, this is lovely. I can see the texture of the paper or am I seeing texture of paint interactions? Just super! Donna
Ken Powers replied:
Thank you so much Donna! I appreciate it. This paint and paper combination really creates some unusual textures.

I agree with Marsha, you really made that red pop with the greyed down greens. Nice work!
